We're looking for a proactive and organised HR Administrator and Payroll Assistant.

What You'll Be Doing Role- Maintaining accurate HR records, databases, and employee files
- Managing TUPE transfer processes
- Processing Disclosure and PVG applications
- Preparing employment contracts and offer letters
- Administering Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) enrolments
- Supporting employee relations casework and HR investigations
- Requesting employment references and ensuring right-to-work documentation is compliant
- Coordinating employee training requests and maintaining training records
- Supporting the annual performance review process
- Providing first-line HR advice and guidance to managers
- Assisting with HR reporting and continuous improvement initiatives
- Supporting basic payroll administration, including submitting payroll changes, checking employee data for accuracy, and liaising with payroll to ensure timely processing
- Previous HR administration experience (3 years preferred)
- Basic payroll knowledge and an understanding of payroll processes
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- A positive, proactive, and customer-focused approach
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities and sound judgement
- A genuine passion for HR and continuous process improvement
- The ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
- Confidence using Microsoft Office and HR systems
