Graduate Systems Analyst

Salary: £27,000 - 27,000 per year

• We are looking for an IT graduate with a 2:1 degree or better.
• We would ideally like some understanding of databases, such as Oracle or SQL.
• We would like knowledge of Unix/Linux and some shell scripting experience.
• We would ideally like knowledge of logistics systems, along with some systems analysis and application support experience.
• We would like experience with report-writing tools such as iReports or Jaspersoft Studio.
• We need excellent communication skills and previous experience in a customer-facing technical service desk environment.
• A full UK driving licence is essential, as occasional travel to other sites may be required.

• We will ask you to provide 2nd line support for logistics systems.
• We will have you learn our business processes and technical applications and tools.
• We will expect you to liaise with stakeholders to gather requirements for change.
• We will have you develop and maintain Unix shell scripts.
• We will ask you to integrate internal and external systems.
• We will expect you to produce logistics systems reports for stakeholders and document system changes in line with our company standards.
• We will have you work closely with senior team members to resolve issues and elevate tickets when needed.

We are a highly successful Scottish logistics organisation based on the outskirts of Glasgow, with onsite parking available. This is a fully onsite role, working five days per week as part of our support team, with a starting salary of £27k plus our benefits package.
