The opportunity

We are looking for a confident, curious and proactive individual to join our Data Governance team. This role would be ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, solving problems, and is interested in developing a career in data and governance.

Please note, this is a hybrid role based in Swindon.

  • Salary - £35,000 - £50,000 depending on level of experience

What you'll be doing:
  • Supporting the development of data governance across Openwork, working with data foundations, standards and quality.
  • Helping ensure colleagues have access to reliable, high-quality information to support decision-making.
  • Working with teams across the business to understand their data needs and improve how data is used.
  • Creating and maintaining reports and dashboards that provide valuable business insights.
  • Supporting data governance activities, including policies, standards and best practices.
  • Helping to improve the quality, consistency and accuracy of data across the business.
  • Providing guidance and training to colleagues on how to access, understand and use data effectively.
  • Supporting the growth of a positive data culture across the organisation.
  • Contributing to the company's journey towards becoming more data-driven.
What will you need to succeed?
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Confidence working with and presenting to a variety of stakeholders.
  • The ability to build effective relationships across the business.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • A curious and analytical mindset with a natural desire to solve problems.
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel.
  • Any experience working with data is a bonus, but not essential.
