NHS Dumfries & Galloway is looking for an enthusiastic and technically skilled Technical Co-ordinator to join our DDaT Information Services Team.

This is an exciting opportunity to work at the heart of the organisation's information and digital services, supporting the development of modern data, reporting and business intelligence solutions that enable better decision-making and help improve patient care across the region.

The Role:

As a Technical Co-ordinator, you will play a key role in the management, development and support of data and reporting systems used throughout NHS Dumfries & Galloway. Working with a wide range of clinical, operational and corporate services, you will help transform complex data into meaningful information that supports service delivery, performance management and strategic planning.

You will be involved in developing and maintaining databases, data warehouses, dashboards and reporting solutions, while supporting colleagues across the organisation to access accurate, timely and high-quality information. The role also provides opportunities to contribute to digital transformation projects, system integrations and the ongoing development of our business intelligence capability.

What You'll Be Doing:
Developing and maintaining databases, data repositories and reporting solutions.
Supporting the continued development of the organisation's data warehouse and business intelligence platforms.
Supporting the implementation of data analytics systems, including AI solutions
Creating and enhancing reports, dashboards and data visualisations using tools such as Power BI, MS Fabric, Snowflake, Qlik and SQL-based technologies.
Working with clinical, operational and corporate teams to understand information requirements and deliver effective solutions.
Supporting data quality improvement initiatives and ensuring information is accurate and reliable.
Investigating and resolving complex technical and data-related issues.
Delivering training, guidance and technical support to users across the organisation.
Contributing to a wide range of DDaT Data projects and digital transformation initiatives.

About You:

We are looking for someone who is analytical, organised and passionate about using data and technology to improve services.

You will be able to demonstrate:
Experience working with databases and data management systems.
Strong SQL skills and an understanding of data extraction, transformation and reporting processes.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
The ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
A commitment to delivering high-quality customer-focused services.
Experience with Power BI, Qlik, data warehousing or healthcare information systems would be advantageous, although training and development opportunities will be available for the right candidate.
