Monday to Thursday 7:00am 4:30pm, Friday 7:00am 12:45pm

Manufacturing Systems Administrator required to join a luxury automotive brand based near Daventry on a contract-to-permanent basis.

Due to continued growth, our client is looking for a Manufacturing Systems Administrator to join their team. You will support the day-to-day administration and maintenance of manufacturing systems, including MES, helping to ensure production information remains accurate, systems operate effectively and users receive the support they need.

This role would suit someone with experience working with manufacturing systems, production data, MES or ERP platforms who is comfortable carrying out system administration, managing data, supporting users and coordinating system issues.

Responsibilities of the Manufacturing Systems Administrator:

System Administration:

  • Support the day-to-day administration and maintenance of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
  • Assist with system updates, configuration changes and general system housekeeping.
  • Maintain accurate system records, documentation and manufacturing information.
  • Support the administration of documents and data linked to manufacturing systems.
  • Assist with the flow of information between MES, ERP and other relevant business systems.

User Support:

  • Provide first-line support to manufacturing personnel and system users.
  • Assist with system queries, access issues and basic troubleshooting.
  • Log, monitor and follow up system-related support tickets.
  • Escalate more complex technical issues to software providers, internal teams or external support partners where required.
  • Support users with system processes and provide basic guidance or training where required.

Data Management:

  • Maintain accurate data within manufacturing systems.
  • Carry out routine data checks, updates and cleansing to maintain data integrity.
  • Support vehicles build book information and other production-related records.
  • Assist with data migration, backups and general data administration.
  • Ensure manufacturing information is handled accurately and in line with company processes.

Systems & Production Support:

  • Support the connection and flow of information between manufacturing, inventory, supply chain and quality systems.
  • Assist with testing system updates and changes before they are introduced into the live production environment.
  • Support the resolution of MES issues and ensure tickets are progressed through to completion.
  • Work closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality and IT teams to support day-to-day system requirements.

System Monitoring:

  • Monitor manufacturing systems and highlight any issues that may affect production.
  • Assist with investigating recurring system problems and escalate concerns where necessary.
  • Support the smooth day-to-day running of manufacturing systems across the production environment.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Support improvements to manufacturing systems, processes and workflows.
  • Assist with identifying opportunities to improve data accuracy, system usability and administration processes.
  • Work with internal teams to support system changes and continuous improvement activity.
  • Experience with Siemens Opcenter would be advantageous but is not essential.
