You will need to hold UK Security Clearance or be eligible to go through this clearance. This position will be based on site operating a shift system 5 days a week.

Your future duties and responsibilities
In this role, you will design, build, and support infrastructure solutions across cloud and on-premise environments, ensuring systems meet demanding performance, security, and availability requirements. You'll take ownership of infrastructure across compute, storage, networking, and virtualisation technologies, supporting both project delivery and live operational services within complex, mission-critical environments.

Working closely with CGI colleagues, clients, and technology partners, you will deliver resilient, scalable solutions while contributing innovative approaches to infrastructure engineering. You'll be encouraged to continuously develop your technical expertise, share knowledge with others, and play an active role in delivering successful outcomes for our clients.

• Design & Deliver secure infrastructure solutions across cloud and on-premise environments

• Deploy & Configure compute, storage, networking, and virtualisation platforms

• Integrate & Support cloud technologies, including Oracle Cloud Infrastructure where applicable

• Monitor & Optimise infrastructure performance, availability, capacity, and resilience

• Troubleshoot & Resolve complex infrastructure incidents and technical issues

• Collaborate & Deliver with cross-functional teams, clients, and technology partners

• Automate & Improve operational processes through scripting and infrastructure automation where appropriate

• Communicate & Report technical progress, risks, and system health to stakeholders

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
To succeed in this role, you should have proven experience delivering and supporting enterprise infrastructure within complex environments. You will bring strong systems administration skills, a solid understanding of networking and virtualisation technologies, and experience working with cloud platforms. A proactive approach to problem-solving, collaboration, and continuous improvement will help you thrive as part of CGI's expert engineering teams.

• Experience of Infrastructure Engineering ideally in enterprise or secure environments

• Administration experience across Windows and/or Linux platforms

• Understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, routing, and firewalls

• Exposure to cloud infrastructure platforms, ideally Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)

• Knowledge of virtualisation technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V

• Troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and incident resolution skills

• Knowledge of container technologies and image management (desirable)

• Knowledge of automation, scripting (e.g. Power Shell, Bash, Python), or Infrastructure as Code (advantageous)

• Ability to work within secure environments and obtain or hold UK Security Clearance
