Project Manager 6-month contract Remote/Manchester

Our longstanding utilities client is looking for an experienced Business Change Project Manager to join a major regulatory compliance programme.

This role is centred on driving business change, helping operational teams adopt structured project delivery while leading multiple work streams across a high-profile NIS compliance programme.

This is an ideal opportunity for a Project Manager with experience delivering change in a regulated environment, particularly within utilities, energy or critical infrastructure.

The Project Manager can work remote with ad hoc travel to site when required.

Key Experience from the Project Manager:

  • Proven Project Management experience delivering business change initiatives.
  • Experience working within a regulated industry, ideally utilities or energy.
  • NIS, cyber security, operational resilience or information security programmes would be beneficial.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the confidence to engage senior business leaders.
  • Experience managing multiple projects within a larger programme environment.
  • Strong governance, planning and reporting capabilities.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Project, SharePoint and project governance processes.
  • Ability to work across both business and technical teams without needing to be a technical specialist.

Key Responsibilities of the Project Manager:

  • Lead multiple business change projects within a wider regulatory programme.
  • Drive project governance, planning and delivery across several work streams.
  • Build and maintain project plans, milestones, risks and executive reporting.
  • Work closely with operational and technical teams to embed project management best practice.
  • Challenge and influence stakeholders to support successful organisational change.
  • Manage risks, dependencies and governance throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with programme leadership to ensure successful delivery against regulatory objectives.
