Our client is a leading national law firm with a strong presence in the insurance sector. Due to continued growth, the firm is seeking an experienced RTA Solicitor to join its Manchester-based team. This is an excellent opportunity to handle a varied portfolio of defendant motor claims within a highly regarded and supportive environment.

Your new role

You will manage a caseload of defendant motor and road traffic accident claims, ranging from fast-track matters through to more complex litigated files. Working as part of an established insurance team, you will have exposure to high-quality work and the opportunity to develop your technical expertise further.
Key responsibilities:

  • Managing a litigated caseload of defendant RTA claims from inception through to resolution.
  • Drafting pleadings, witness statements and court documents.
  • Advising insurer clients on liability, quantum and litigation strategy.
  • Negotiating settlements and attending hearings where required.
  • Working closely with colleagues on more complex and high-value matters.
  • Supporting business development initiatives and client relationships.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Qualified Solicitor with at least 3 years' PQE.
  • Previous experience handling litigated RTA or motor claims.
  • Strong knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules.
  • Ability to manage a caseload independently.
  • Excellent communication and client management skills.
  • Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to litigation.
