Position: Solicitor (Corporate Legal team)
Location: Holytown

We are recruiting for a full-time Solicitor to our Corporate Legal team on a permanent basis

  • Provide comprehensive legal advice which will influence decision makers in SEPA, and support solution focused outcomes
  • Consider, understand, and engage with varied and complex information of a technical and legal nature
  • Draft or review legal documentation
  • Fully adhere and comply with Health & Safety Policy
  • Provide advice on a broad range of matters relating to corporate and civil law including but not limited to:
    • Corporate governance
    • Property law
    • Intellectual property
    • Construction contracts
    • Disputes & litigation
    • Employment law; and
    • Contract law
Respect for your expertise

This is a highly important role within our Governance, Performance & Engagement portfolio, which means you’ll need:

  • Scottish Qualified Solicitor with LLB Degree and Diploma in legal practice or equivalent and current full (unrestricted) practising certificate
  • Legal professional post qualifying experience
  • Knowledge and experience of application of legislation in either a corporate or environmental law context
  • Proven analytical problem-solving skills

Highly developed communication skills (both written and verbal) and ability to develop good working relationships
