Supply Chain Manager

Location:

Warrington (with national project exposure)

Sector:
Commercial Fit Out

The Opportunity

Our client is a well-established commercial fit-out contractor delivering projects across the UK. Operating with a collaborative, team-led project model, they are now looking to appoint a Supply Chain Manager to strengthen supplier engagement and enhance overall project delivery performance.

This role will play a key part in shaping how subcontractors and suppliers are selected, managed, and developed across the business. While hands‑on procurement experience is beneficial, the position is equally suited to a commercially minded professional with strong relationship‑building skills and a solid understanding of the construction or fit‑out environment.

Based from the Warrington office, the role will support projects nationwide and work closely with commercial, estimating, and operational teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and embed a structured approach to supplier and subcontractor relationship management
  • Maintain and continuously improve an effective, compliant, and project‑ready supply chain
  • Identify gaps within the existing supply base and onboard new suppliers and subcontractors as required
  • Support sustainable procurement initiatives and promote responsible sourcing practices
  • Track market conditions, availability, and trends to ensure best value decisions are made
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders including Quantity Surveying, Estimating, and Delivery teams
  • Allocate suppliers and subcontractors strategically across key projects
  • Monitor supplier performance, setting clear expectations and measurable KPIs
  • Use data and performance insights to drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Lead commercial discussions and negotiations to achieve optimal outcomes without compromising quality or programme
About You
  • Proactive and self‑driven, with the confidence to challenge and improve existing ways of working
  • Strong communicator who can build credibility with both internal teams and external partners
  • Commercially astute, numerate, and comfortable working with data and performance metrics
  • Experienced within construction, fit‑out, or a related supply chain environment
  • Relationship‑focused, with the ability to foster trust and long‑term partnerships
  • Resilient and comfortable working in a fast‑paced, delivery‑focused environment
  • Highly organised, with excellent attention to detail
  • Problem‑solver with a solutions‑led mindset
  • Passionate about sustainability and ethical supply chain practices
Why Apply?

This is a key role within a growing, financially stable fit‑out business where the supply chain function has genuine influence over project success. You'll have the opportunity to shape strategy, work closely with senior stakeholders, and leave a lasting impact on how the business collaborates with its supply partners
