More than a driver? You could be part of our driving force?
We are looking for a new member of our Furniture Warehouse team to help collect donations, organise deliveries, support customers and make a daily difference for St Mary's Hospice.
This is a hands‑on, energetic and physically demanding role. You'll need to be able to safely lift, carry and move furniture and other donated items as part of your daily work.
No two days are the same. One moment you could be collecting a donated sofa, the next serving a customer on the till, helping merchandise the showroom or preparing stock for sale. Our warehouse is busy, varied and full of opportunity to make an impact.
A full driving licence is essential and you'll need to be a courteous, confident and responsible driver. You will be representing St Mary's Hospice across our local community and will play an important role in creating a positive experience for our donors and customers.
Excellent customer service skills are vital. We're looking for someone who enjoys working with people, communicates well and is happy to roll up their sleeves and get stuck in wherever needed. Some days may include bereavement house clearances, so empathy and sensitivity are just as important as practicality.
As part of the role you'll also work alongside volunteers, support warehouse operations, operate the till system, assist with Gift Aid and help maintain an attractive and welcoming showroom environment.
You’ll need to be organised and reliable, ensuring vehicle checks, health and safety requirements and paperwork are completed accurately and on time.
If you’re looking for a role that’s far more than driving and want to be part of a team that helps support local hospice care, we’d love to hear from you.
