Equipment Controller
Location:
Sandy, Bedfordshire
Contract:
Full Time, Monday to Friday
Flamingo Flowers is seeking an organised and detail-focused Equipment Controller to manage returnable production equipment across our operation. This role is responsible for ensuring equipment is accurately tracked, maintained, and available to support production requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and track returnable trays, buckets, Proconas, QBoxes, pallets, trolleys, and other production assets.
- Maintain accurate equipment balances on-site and with third-party suppliers.
- Place equipment orders and arrange hire/off-hire through supplier portals.
- Update and maintain equipment records within the MRP system.
- Complete monthly stock counts, reconciliations, and reporting.
- Coordinate equipment transfers, collections, and returns with suppliers and transport providers.
- Monitor damaged equipment and arrange repairs, returns, or replacements.
- Manage pallet and Danish trolley hire requirements.
- Support equipment movements across Flamingo sites.
- Ensure all equipment complies with GMP standards and company procedures.
- Conduct regular audits and work with departments to address equipment misuse.
- Maintain accurate records of all equipment movements and stock levels.
You will be highly organised, able to manage multiple priorities, and committed to maintaining accurate records and operational standards.
Essential Skills & Experience- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Office applications.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Experience in stock control, logistics, inventory management, or equipment coordination.
- Strong administrative skills.
- Experience in a manufacturing, production, logistics, or supply chain environment.
- Knowledge of MRP/ERP systems.
- Understanding of GMP standards.
