Simarco International is looking for an enthusiastic Logistics Apprentice to join our successful European Operations team in Gloucester.

You don’t need previous logistics experience. We’ll give you full training and support while you work towards your Level 3 International Freight Forwarding Apprenticeship
, gaining real experience in the exciting world of international logistics.

Working alongside our experienced team, you’ll learn how we coordinate the movement of goods across the UK and Europe.

You’ll gain hands‑on experience in:

• Booking and managing international shipments using our Transport Management System.
• Communicating with customers and overseas logistics partners.
• Providing customers with shipment updates and ETAs.
• Working with our Transport, Customs and Warehouse teams.
• Learning about UK and EU customs requirements.
• Preparing shipping documents, load lists and manifests.
• Helping coordinate collections and working with third‑party hauliers.
• Resolving customer queries and delivering great customer service.

You’ll be given real responsibility while having the support of experienced colleagues around you as you develop your knowledge and confidence.

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has GCSEs including English and Maths Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent).
• Is enthusiastic, motivated and keen to learn.
• Is confident using computers and Microsoft Office.
• Has good communication and customer service skills.
• Is organised with good attention to detail.
• Enjoys working as part of a team.
• Is interested in logistics, international business or global trade.

No previous logistics experience is required – that’s what the apprenticeship is for! We’ll provide the training and support you need to develop your skills and succeed.

Completing your apprenticeship could open the door to a variety of career paths, including Freight Forwarding, European Operations, Transport, Customs, Customer Service, Supply Chain and International Trade.
