We are currently recruiting for an Operations Clerk to join a busy logistics operation based in Burton-on-Trent, supporting a major customer and their end customers.
This is a demanding and varied role, particularly during peak periods, so we are looking for someone who is reliable, flexible and comfortable working across both rotational and night shifts.

The successful candidate will initially undertake training on a rotational shift pattern alongside an experienced Operations Clerk. Once fully trained, the longer-term shift pattern will be established based on operational requirements.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to secure a temp-to-perm position within a busy and established logistics environment.

Key Responsibilities
Supporting the smooth running of daily logistics operations.
Completing operational administration and data entry.
Using systems to maintain accurate records and information.
Supporting stock control and inventory processes.
Liaising with customers, colleagues and operational teams.
Handling queries professionally and efficiently.
Ensuring information is accurate and completed within required timescales.
Working to a Right First Time approach.
Supporting the operation during busy and peak periods.
Following company processes and maintaining high standards of accuracy and attention to detail.

We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate:

Previous experience in an operations, logistics, warehouse administration or transport administration environment.
Previous SAP experience is highly desirable, although not essential.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Good customer service skills and a professional approach.
An understanding of stock control and inventory processes.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
A reliable, flexible and positive approach to work.
The ability to work effectively under pressure, particularly during peak periods.
A "Can-Do" attitude and commitment to getting things right first time.
The flexibility and willingness to work both rotational and night shifts when required.

Shift Flexibility – Essential

Candidates must be comfortable working both rotational and night shifts.
This flexibility is particularly important during the initial training period and while the permanent shift structure is being established.

£14.30 per hour on rotational shifts.
£14.64 per hour on night shifts.
Full training provided.
