Overview
BAE Systems are looking for an experienced  Logistics Planner  to join their Manufacturing team and play a key role in supporting complex, innovative and world-leading programmes, including  Typhoon

Key Responsibilities
Managing and maintaining the order book, ensuring requirements are accurately reflected and progressed.
Releasing kits and actively expediting internal and external supply chain shortages to support delivery commitments.
Obtaining forecasts and working with stakeholders and suppliers to drive improvements across the supply chain.
Managing assets and tooling, including the control of calibrated equipment.
Supporting the resolution of problems that could prevent operations from delivering against the workload plan.
Working collaboratively with manufacturing, supply chain and other functions to identify issues and develop practical solutions.
Coordinating the shipment and receipt of parts and tooling in line with delivery schedules and relevant export control requirements.
Supporting the review of key business performance measures and ensuring agreed actions are implemented.

Key Skills
Experience working within a logistics planning and/or supply chain environment.
An understanding of logistics processes, procedures and governance.
Awareness or experience of  export control requirements .
Experience using  MRP or ERP systems .
Good IT skills, particularly  Microsoft Excel and Outlook .
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across different functions.
Experience working within a manufacturing or supply chain environment.
