Logistics Assistant
We are looking for a Logistics Assistant to join us at SNC Mission Systems UK in St Athan. We provide tailored mission systems integration and intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) solutions for the UK Government and its allies.

As a Logistics Assistant, you will support SNC MS UK’s operational and supply chain activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day to day logistic tasks, ensuring timely delivery of goods, maintaining accurate inventory records and supporting SNC MS UK’s internal teams ensuring smooth operations.
It is an exciting time to join SNC Missions UK as we are expanding, you will get stuck into:
- Maintaining accurate inventory records using the management system.
- Conducting regular stock checks and assist with inventory audits.
- Alerting management to discrepancies and coordinate corrective actions.
- Processing purchase orders and track orders through our procurement system.
- Liaising with suppliers and internal teams to confirm order details, shipping schedules and delivery timelines.
- Manage documentation i.e., order forms, delivery receipts and inventory reports.
- Provide updates to management on logistic performance and stock levels.
- Support cross functional teams by coordinating on logistics needs and process improvements.
- Address and resolve logistics issues promptly.
- Proactively suggest improvements to processes to enhance efficiency and cost effectiveness.
- GCSEs A-C or 1-3 in English and Maths (or equivalent).
- Experienced driver of various vehicles
- Demonstrates a sound understanding of logistics processes, systems and procedures, with the ability to develop and apply technical knowledge effectively.
- Flexible and able to respond positively to changing priorities, processes and business requirements.
- Maintaina professional, reliable and conscientious approach, with a strong focus on quality and attention to detail.
- Proactive in identifying issues, finding solutions and taking ownership of tasks without always requiring direction.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with colleagues, customers and other stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.
- Working collaboratively with others, builds positive working relationships and contributes effectively towards shared goals.
- Previous experience in a logistics or supply chain role.
- Familiar with inventory management systems or ERP software.
- Forklift licence and Towing experience.
