Maintenance Technician

Location: Fillongley Ward

• Maintenance technician MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE To assist with the general maintenance and upkeep of buildings and grounds Requirements City & Guilds in either Electrical and/or Mechanical Services level 3 or NVQ Level 3 Previous experience in a multi skilled maintenance position with a core skill in either electrical or mechanical services
• Previous experience in a shift technician role within a complex environment MAIN DUTIES Carry out general repairs and maintenance to the Care Home, both interior and exterior
• To maintain the grounds and gardens to a high standard that reflects the general ambience of the Home To maintain the exterior appearance of the building by way of a general cleaning programme
• To be responsible for daily inspections of the grounds and buildings and to report any issues of concern to the owner
• During the course of carrying out your duties, to be aware of opportunities for energy savings
• Replenish cracked and fading paintwork Ensure that the generator is maintained and in good working order
• To be aware of the potential impact on our residents of any activity within the
• Home when working in close proximity to them
• Carry out weekly water testing Carry out weekly electrical testing in accordance with P.A.T. To maintain gardening equipment as fit for purpose
• Maintain all documentation up to date and report any anomalies
