School Cleaner – Aberaeron Primary School

Overview

We are seeking a reliable and motivated school cleaner to join our team. Your role will be essential in maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for staff and public.

• Clean classrooms, corridors, staff rooms, toilets, and communal areas to a high standard.
• Ensure hygiene in areas used by children, including regular disinfection of surfaces.
• Safely operate cleaning equipment and use appropriate cleaning products.
• Follow health and safety and safeguarding procedures while on site.
• Report any maintenance or safety concerns to the relevant personnel.

• Takes pride in maintaining a clean and welcoming environment.
• Has a flexible, reliable, and positive attitude.
• Communicates effectively and works well independently or as part of a team.

Previous cleaning experience is beneficial but not essential. We welcome applications from individuals with little or no experience. Full training and ongoing support will be provided.

Health and Safety training will be provided. Welsh language support is available for candidates who need it.

Hourly rate: £12.85. Advertised salary of £24,796 is based on a full‑time role (37 hours per week). This part‑time role’s salary will be adjusted proportionally according to the number of hours worked.
