Job Introduction
Landmarc Support Services is currently seeking to recruit a Site Operative to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will be responsible for looking after the Training Estate facilities, which includes cleaning accommodation blocks, maintaining the grounds and buildings, and ensuring a safe, efficient and sustainable place for our Armed Forces to stay while they train.
Key Details- Shifts run between 07:00 – 17:00, Monday to Sunday. Weekend work is part of a rota, usually one weekend day in every four depending on operational needs.
- Hours of work: 37 per week.
- Contract type:
Permanent. - Annual allowance: £1,127.50 for working weekends.
- Location:
Barry Buddon Training Camp, Carnoustie, Angus, Scotland, DD7 7RY
. - Interviews:
Wednesday 1st – Thursday 2nd July (correspondence will be sent via email).
- Looking after the camp’s general cleanliness, ensuring it is fit for purpose.
- Handing over and taking back site facilities from facility users.
- Cleaning offices, communal facilities and accommodation blocks, including ablutions, shower blocks and similar.
- Performing general cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting and vacuuming.
- Working in a diverse, multi‑tasking mobile team environment.
- Operating and maintaining plant equipment (training will be provided).
- Carrying out basic building maintenance and general grounds maintenance.
- Managing stock.
- Completing all relevant documentation using both IT and paper‑based systems.
- Carrying out any other additional requirements as needed.
- General housekeeping and caretaking knowledge.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety procedures.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to complete documentation.
- Basic IT skills, including ability to use a tablet.
- Valid UK driving licence (essential due to the rural location of the site).
