School Cleaner

Position Overview

Pinnacle Group is looking for a dedicated School Cleaner to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene at Stewards Academy in Harlow. This part‑time permanent role involves general cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, dusting and waste management to ensure the internal school facilities meet the required standards as directed by the Facilities Assistant and/or Superintendent. The role requires working during term time as well as school holidays.

2 hours a day, Monday to Friday, 6 AM – 8 AM, totaling 10 hours per week.

• Cleaning toilet facilities, hand basins and replenishing toilet paper, hand soap and towels.
• Damp‑wipe tables, chairs, desks, skirting boards, windowsills and hard surfaces.
• Vacuum all soft floors and carpets, including barrier matting.
• Damp & spot mopping, dusting, polishing of surfaces, fixtures and fittings, sanitising touch points, door handles and push plates.
• Ensure adherence to colour‑coding directives and regularly change mop heads, cloths and other equipment.

• Good knowledge, experience and attention to detail in cleaning services and cleaning equipment, including COSHH and Health and Safety.
• Good timekeeping and attendance.
• Ability to work to laid‑down schedules.
• Ability to work as part of a team and use own initiative.
• Confirmation of appointment will be subject to completion of a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check (DBS) plus references.
