Facilities Assistant

Overview

This post is to assist with the provision of high‑quality cleaning within council buildings for the Facilities Management Team. We clean a variety of buildings across North Ayrshire estates which include schools, nurseries, day centres, offices, libraries, residential homes, depots and sheltered housing units.

• Provide thorough cleaning of assigned facilities during term time.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards across all buildings.
• Use cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and in accordance with health and safety regulations.
• Report any maintenance issues or hazards to the Facilities Manager.

This post is considered Regulated Work with Children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates must have, or be willing to obtain, a valid PVG (Protection of Vulnerable Groups) scheme registration, or undergo a PVG scheme update check prior to confirmation of employment.

Term‑time position based at Skelmorlie Primary School. Working hours are 15:00 to 18:00, Monday to Friday.

£20,000 – £25,000 per year.
