Laundry Assistant

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Laundry Assistant to join our team. As a Laundry Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all linen and clothing items are cleaned, pressed, and presented to the highest standards. This role requires attention to detail, a proactive approach, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. This is a temporary role with a zero-hour contract at our client location.

Candidates must be mandatorily available for 5 days if full-time or 2 days if part-time.

• Operate industrial laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation in all laundry areas.
• Dispose of waste and recycling materials appropriately.
• Maintain cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring they are stocked and in good working condition.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
• Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
• Communicate effectively with team members and clients to address any specific cleaning needs or concerns.

• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members. Clear communication and a polite, professional demeanor.
• Ability to handle delicate or luxury fabrics responsibly.
• Proficiency in English for understanding instructions and communicating with others.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality cleaning services.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays, as needed.
