Overview
We are looking for a Housekeeper to create a clean, safe and pleasant environment for patients by cleaning and preparing areas, using the latest equipment and supported by a training programme. You will undertake general responsibilities including room cleaning, waste removal, linen collection and deep cleaning. Working on the bank means ad-hoc hours to suit business needs and your availability. You will collaborate with Heads of Housekeeping to ensure cleaning does not disrupt patients experience.
You should be friendly with good communication and customer service skills and be motivated, friendly and flexible. Ideally you will have experience in a similar role and be well organised to ensure cleaning processes are followed and the location is clean, pleasant and safe for patients. You will work closely with the Infection Prevention team, reporting incidents as needed.
- Perform general cleaning of patient areas and support spaces, following cleaning procedures and infection prevention guidelines.
- Handle waste removal and linen collection according to policy.
- Carry out deep cleaning tasks and use cleaning equipment and products safely.
- Maintain a clean, pleasant, and safe environment for patients and staff.
- Coordinate with Heads of Housekeeping and the infection prevention team to minimise disruption to patient care.
- Experience in a similar cleaning/housekeeping role (preferred).
- Good organisational skills and ability to plan work with supervision as needed.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to follow cleaning processes and safety guidelines.
- Flexible and motivated with a positive attitude.
