In conjunction with peers, co‑ordinate and organise day‑to‑day activities of the operation staff within the department and support the development of a cost‑effective customer‑responsive service. The overall purpose is to work as part of a team and to be the first point of contact for the Domestic Assistants. When working in the community this will also include Portering Assistants. The role involves providing the best quality cleaning services to the environment within the Health Board's premises and sharing learned practices with others to develop cleaning services as changes are made over time, allowing the department and individuals to react to changing needs.
Responsibilities- Supervise, train and audit cleaning processes with Domestic Assistants in a variety of areas from very high risk to low risk, classified by the National Standards of Cleanliness.
- Monitor and sustain best cleaning practices and ensure that self and others provide to the required standard.
- Provide assistance to the Assistant Hotel Services Manager (Domestic) in carrying out their duties and make responsible decisions in their absence.
- Coordinate and organise daily activities of the operations staff within the department to support the development of a cost‑effective, customer‑responsive service.
- Will work on rota, 35 hours per week, 5 days at Ysbyty Bryn Y Neuadd and Ty Llwelyn.
- Ability to speak Welsh is desirable;
Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply. - Experience or capability in supervising, training and auditing cleaning processes.
- Familiarity with the National Standards of Cleanliness audit lead times.
