What you’ll do:
- Carrying out routine and ad-hoc janitorial duties in support of all on site personnel to ensure compliance with contract conditions
- Carrying out planned janitorial maintenance duties in accordance with agreed timescales and procedures and undertake any property maintenance work within the post holder’s range of competence
- Supervising, developing and monitoring of all cleaning staff to ensure cleaning standards are maintained in accordance with contract conditions and agreed quality management procedures
- Maintaining the safe and efficient operation of all the school’s energy systems in accordance with agreed contract conditions
- Providing support and assistance to any other sites as directed by the Facilities Manager.
- Led and supported a team of janitorial staff to maintain high standards.
- Assisted with staff rotas, attendance monitoring, and shift cover.
- Ensured compliance with health and safety procedures and company policies.
- Resolved day-to-day operational issues and escalated concerns when required
- Maintained stock levels and coordinated the ordering of school supplies
- Conducted quality inspections and addressed any performance issues.
- Delegated daily tasks and monitored completion of work schedules.
- Supported the Site Supervisor and covered supervisory duties when needed
What you’ll need:
- Awareness of Health & Safety issues and the need for safe methods of working
- Awareness of COSHH regulations
The successful candidate will require a PVG/Disclosure Check prior to starting in the role.
