We are currently recruiting for a Housekeeper to join a friendly and supportive residential care environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and enjoys working as part of a close-knit team supporting older adults.

Established in the 1980s, this friendly and welcoming service has grown from a small home supporting just a handful of residents into a respected care provider supporting up to 21 residents within a comfortable and homely environment. The service prides itself on delivering high-quality, person-centred care while maintaining a warm family atmosphere for both residents and staff.

This role is based within a care setting, so we are ideally looking for candidates who live locally and can reliably travel to and from work each day.

  • Maintain a clean, tidy and welcoming environment for residents
  • Replenish cleaning and household supplies as required
  • Report any maintenance issues, damage or health and safety concerns promptly
  • Follow infection control, COSHH and health and safety procedures
  • Work closely with care staff and the wider team to ensure residents' needs are met
  • Respect residents' privacy, dignity and personal belongings at all times

About You

  • Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is desirable (training can be provided)
  • A genuine interest in working with older people
  • Good communication skills
  • High standards of cleanliness and attention to detail
  • Ability to work well within a team
  • Reliable, organised and proactive approach
  • Caring, friendly and respectful attitude
  • Ability to work independently and manage daily cleaning tasks effectively
