Cleaning​/Hygiene Operative

X2 CLEANING/HYGIENE OPERATIVES - WR11 8JS

PPM Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Cleaning Operative to join a busy site-based team.

This is a physically demanding role requiring candidates to maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and health & safety throughout the site.

PAY RATE: £14.24p/h inc. hol pay

WORKING HOURS:

7pm till 5pm

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Carry out cleaning duties in line with the required specification and schedule.

Ensure all allocated tasks are completed to a high standard and within the required frequency.

Maintain work areas in a safe, clean and hygienic condition.

Complete all required cleaning and hygiene documentation accurately.

Complete hygiene cleaning sign-off records correctly.

Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and in accordance with COSHH requirements.

Ensure the correct PPE is worn at all times.

Maintain cleaning equipment in a clean, safe and working condition.

Report any equipment faults, damage, hazards or unsafe practices to the Hygiene Supervisor/Manager.

Report accidents, incidents, near misses and any occupational health concerns.

Follow all site rules, procedures, policies and safe systems of work.

Report any incomplete work and provide a reason to the Supervisor.

Ensure chemicals, equipment and materials are stored safely and correctly.

Follow waste disposal and material control procedures.

Only operate equipment that you have been trained and authorised to use.

Follow reasonable instructions from Supervisors and Managers.

Maintain a professional approach when working on site.

REQUIREMENTS

Previous cleaning experience is desirable.

Good understanding of workplace health & safety.

Ability to follow cleaning instructions and safe systems of work.

Willingness to complete required training, including COSHH and chemical safety awareness.

Good attention to detail.

Reliable, responsible and able to follow instructions.

Physically fit and comfortable with a physically demanding role.

Ability to maintain high standards of personal hygiene and appearance.

Must be willing to comply with all site and client procedures.

UNIFORM / PPE

Candidates must attend work wearing:

Black trousers

White shirt or polo shirt

Hi-vis vest

Black shoes

A high standard of personal hygiene and professional appearance must be maintained at all times.

HEALTH & SAFETY

The successful candidate will be expected to:

Work safely and protect their own health and safety and that of others.

Only undertake tasks for which they have received the appropriate training.

Correctly use PPE, equipment and cleaning chemicals.

Follow COSHH assessments and relevant safe working procedures.

Report hazards, accidents, incidents and near misses immediately.

Ensure equipment is safely stored and maintained.

Remove faulty equipment from use and report any serious defects.

Please note:

This is a physically demanding position and candidates must be comfortable carrying out manual cleaning duties for the duration of their shift.
