Housekeeper – Luxury Retirement Home – Part Time – AV2041B
Location: Kilgetty, Pembrokeshire
Pay Rate: £13.45 per hour
We are currently recruiting for a Housekeeper to join a friendly and supportive residential care environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and enjoys working as part of a close-knit team supporting older adults.
Established in the 1980s, this friendly and welcoming service has grown from a small home supporting just a handful of residents into a respected care provider supporting up to 21 residents within a comfortable and homely environment. The service prides itself on delivering high-quality, person-centred care while maintaining a warm family atmosphere for both residents and staff.
This role is based within a care setting, so we are ideally looking for candidates who live locally and can reliably travel to and from work each day.
The RoleAs Housekeeper
, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment for residents, visitors and staff. You will play an important role in ensuring the home is maintained to a high standard at all times.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the residential home
- Clean residents' rooms, communal areas, bathrooms, corridors and other areas as required
- Follow daily and weekly cleaning schedules
- Ensure all cleaning is carried out safely and in accordance with relevant hygiene procedures
- Maintain a clean, tidy and welcoming environment for residents
- Replenish cleaning and household supplies as required
- Report any maintenance issues, damage or health and safety concerns promptly
- Follow infection control, COSHH and health and safety procedures
- Work closely with care staff and the wider team to ensure residents' needs are met
- Respect residents' privacy, dignity and personal belongings at all times
- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is desirable (training can be provided)
- A genuine interest in working with older people
- Good communication skills
- High standards of cleanliness and attention to detail

- Reliable, organised and proactive approach

- Ability to work independently and manage daily cleaning tasks effectively
