We are looking for a Facilities Technician to work for a high-performance engineering company, taking ownership of its facilities across three sites, all within a five-minute drive of each other. You will ensure the buildings provide a safe, efficient and pleasant environment for employees and visitors, combining hands-on involvement with responsibility for maintenance planning, contractors and compliance.
The Facilities Technician will be responsible for:
Managing the maintenance and upkeep of all building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical and structural components.
Planning and overseeing routine inspections, preventative maintenance and repairs across all sites.
Managing contractors and service providers for specialist maintenance and renovation projects.
Leading the response to maintenance requests and emergencies to minimise disruption.
Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and maintaining accurate records and reports.
Overseeing facilities supplies, budgets and the setup of events and company spaces.
Supervising facilities staff and supporting the movement of equipment between sites, including driving company vehicles when required.
The Facilities Technician will have:
Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical and plumbing.
Experience managing contractors, maintenance schedules and health and safety compliance.
Excellent problem-solving, organisational and time management skills.
Strong communication skills and the ability to lead and support a team.
A clean driving licence, with a Class 1 licence and a facilities management qualification (such as IWFM) being advantageous.
This is an excellent opportunity for a facilities professional to shape how a growing engineering business runs its sites day to day. Submit your CV to apply and we'll be in touch to discuss the next steps
