Based at: RDA National Office (Lowlands Equestrian Centre, Warwickshire)

Role

Purpose:

This role is responsible for managing and developing the Charity’s portfolio of corporate partnerships. The role includes researching potential new corporate supporters, prospecting, engaging and stewarding to secure significant gifts, and growing the long‑term potential of this portfolio. The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of Philanthropy and RDA Senior Leadership team to build and develop compelling cases for support to help fund our much‑needed work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet or exceed the corporate income/expenditure budgets in line with agreed KPI’s
  • Manage existing corporate relationships with a view to deepen engagement and develop levels of support
  • Develop and implement an effective process and programme to identify and secure the support of new business donors
  • Lead on high‑level stewardship and engagement with committed partnerships
  • Work collaboratively to ensure relationships are maximised, using innovative tactics to keep partner employees of all levels engaged
  • Foster loyalty and continued commitment to RDA, measured by KPI’s focused on longevity and depth of partnership
  • Work collaboratively with the RDA Senior Leadership team to identify new business opportunities to pitch, present and acquire new partnerships
  • Proactively manage partnerships, including regular touch points to ensure fundraising targets are met or exceeded and active plans are in place
  • Create cultivation and engagement plans for corporate partner senior leadership
  • Working with the Head of Philanthropy, utilise existing mechanisms and develop new products to create a best‑practice supporter experience (e.g. Ambassador programs, networking events, bespoke events)
  • Develop and grow strategies and programmes for relationship building and stewardship of existing corporate supporters
  • Create and deliver compelling proposals and pitches to prospective new corporate supporters
  • Manage the pipeline through the Charity’s central relationship management (CRM) system and record/update key information as required
  • Identify and manage a pipeline of high‑value prospects and opportunities which have the potential to deliver five‑ and six‑figure grants
  • Develop relationships with colleagues and other key stakeholders across RDA UK to maximise opportunities for cultivation and development and collaborate to align partner activity with service delivery and communications
  • Plan and organise opportunities for funders to view RDA UK’s work first‑hand, ensuring all safeguarding procedures are followed and met

Reporting:

  • Provision of monthly and quarterly income and expenditure re‑forecasts
  • Monitor and report on income, expenditure and KPI’s throughout the year
  • Compile comprehensive and compelling progress reports for corporate partners, sharing in a timely manner to incentivise continued support

Other:

  • Undertake such other duties as the line manager shall direct from time to time
  • Be flexible in working from other locations in the UK as required for the effective delivery of the role
  • Ensure due consideration is always given to our charitable aims and objectives and that this is demonstrated in all activities
  • Ensure compliance with General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) across all relationships, including data collection
  • Keep abreast of key income stream trends/issues and the regulatory environment around grant funding, ensuring standards are set, procedures are followed, and issues addressed or escalated as appropriate
  • Be able to travel and work evenings and weekends when required

Experience – Essential:

  • Proven track record of developing inspiring corporate proposals and pitches to secure five‑figure multi‑year partnerships
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing a corporate partnership programme
  • Development of relationships with corporate partners, successfully delivering creative stewardship and securing repeated support
