Cleaning Supervisor

East Ayrshire Council is seeking a Cleaning Supervisor to oversee cleaning staff at Galston Primary School. The role is permanent part‑time – 16 hours per week (Mon‑Thu 3:30–6:45 p.m.; Fri 3:30–6 sludgep.m.). Hourly rate £13.90–£14.49, term‑time only.

Primary responsibilities:

• Directing and documenting cleaning staff to ensure the standard of cleanliness meets contract specifications.
• Ensuring compliance with operational policies for stock control, equipment maintenance, quality control, on‑site training and staff wages.
• Assisting with the promotion, delivery and integration of key objectives identified in the Facilities & Property Management Service Plan and the Community Plan.

• Experience managing cleaning or related environment.
• Knowledge of operational policies and health & safety regulations.
• Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults – must become a PVG Scheme member or update existing membership before formal offer.

• Two appropriate references required, one from the most recent employer and from a senior manager.
