This is a 12 month fixed term post and would suit someone already in a similar role who is looking for their next challenge or someone who is looking to hone their skills in a fast paced logistics setting.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will be responsible for day to day management of one of our shift teams, and will be required to rotate hours on a 3 weekly rota in line with our other deputy logistics managers.

Their main role will be to support the Logistics Manager / Operations Manager and to manage Logistics Services at Meteor Park in relation to movement of materials from source to all areas currently serviced. This includes ensuring services are managed professionally, suggesting improvements, implementing new techniques, organising work schedules and manpower, developing new work models and training staff whilst managing their personal development to meet national and trust guidelines.

The post holder will also be required to lead responsibilities as a member of the Logistics Service team as agreed with the Logistics Manager/Operations Manager, on new developments, projects and other objectives relating to the Logistics and Warehousing services.

Job responsibilities
