Facilities Manager – Dyrham Park and Prior Park Landscape Garden
We’re looking for a Facilities Manager at Dyrham Park and Prior Park Landscape Garden.
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, 5 days out of 7 with a requirement to work weekends on a rota.
What It's Like To Work HereDyrham Park is a 270 acre site encompassing a deer park, formal garden, historic house, and facilities for visitors including an exhibition space, cafes toilets, play area and more. Dyrham Park welcomes approximately 250,000 visitors a year.
Dyrham Park has undergone some major restoration works in recent years and is looking to continue to develop the quality of offer for visitors through improvements to service and infrastructure as well as a nuanced and exciting programme of exhibitions and events. Our team is passionate about caring for this special place and creating welcoming, inclusive experiences for everyone.
Prior Park Landscape Garden is a Grade 1 listed Georgian landscape garden that sits within the City of Bath World Heritage Site. Prior Park welcomes approximately 250,000 visitors a year. The office facilities at Prior Park also support the outdoor team that looks after the Bath Skyline and Bathampton Meadows – 600 acres of countryside in and around the city.
What You'll Be Doing- Lead all planned preventative, reactive and small projects across the estate.
- Be involved in the day‑to‑day running of capital works projects.
- Lead and manage the facilities and business services team of five people responsible for maintaining high standards throughout all areas visited by people, including staff and volunteers.
- Form strong links with fellow heads of department and collaborate to improve processes and resources.
- Serve on the duty manager team, working a rota as duty manager for both Dyrham Park and Prior Park Landscape Garden.
- Experienced in managing facilities or supervising, and looking to develop your career.
- Keenly interested in looking after buildings and assets to a high standard.
- Skilled in managing relations with contractors.
- Focused on detail, especially regarding health and safety and compliance.
- Knowledgeable of environmental and climate initiatives.
- Able to manage large maintenance budgets and ensure projects run smoothly.
