Senior Project Manager – Nuclear, Energy Unit

Location:

Altrincham, Glasgow, Bristol, Whitehaven – UK.

Overview

We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to join our Energy Unit within the Nuclear, Defence and Civil division. This technical project management role offers the opportunity to lead multidisciplinary teams and deliver projects safely and effectively in accordance with company procedures and the highly regulated nuclear sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain a capable and effective integrated project team.
  • Develop and execute strategies and plans to meet project baselines.
  • Lead delivery teams to ensure projects meet scope, cost, schedule and quality requirements, adhering to legislation and company procedures.
  • Provide accurate and timely project performance updates and reports.
  • Communicate effectively with project teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment and clarity.
  • Identify risks, issues and potential concerns early and implement corrective actions to protect project baselines.
  • Ensure compliance with CDM regulations, legislation and engineering standards.
  • Work closely with project and engineering managers and other project disciplines.
  • Foster and maintain strong relationships both internally and externally.
Candidate Specification
  • Demonstrated success managing outcomes of complex projects in highly regulated industries, preferably nuclear.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Eligibility to apply for and obtain Security Clearance.
  • Degree or equivalent qualification, ideally in project management or an engineering‑related discipline.
  • Professional accreditation with a recognised body (e.g., APM, RICS).
