Your new role
Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer.
The Finance Director will take overall responsibility for the operational management of the organisation's finances,ensuring continued financial health, compliance, commercial performance and sustainable growth. You will lead the finance function and play a key role within the senior leadership team, providing strategic financial insight tosupport business decision-making and future development.
Therole encompasses leadership of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, cashflow management and financial reporting, ensuring the delivery of accurate andtimely management information. You will present financial performance and strategic insights to senior stakeholders, lead relationships with auditors and advisors, and maintain robust governance, compliance and risk management processes across the organisation.
Asignificant aspect of the position will involve the development of sophisticated commercial models to support pricing strategies, bids, cost management and long-term planning. Working closely with colleagues across the business, you will help drive operational efficiency, improve reporting capabilities and support data-led decision-making. You will also lead and develop a high-performing finance team, promoting a collaborative andvalues-driven culture
What you'll need to succeed
Tobe successful in this role, you will be a qualified accountant holding ACCA,CIMA or an equivalent professional finance qualification, supported bydegree-level education or comparable professional experience. You will bring significant experience operating in a senior finance leadership capacity and possess strong technical expertise across financial reporting, budgeting,forecasting, commercial analysis and management accounting.
Youwill have a proven ability to develop sophisticated financial models, interpret complex financial data and provide strategic recommendations that influence business performance and growth. Strong leadership skills are essential,together with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels and build productive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
The successful candidate will be highly organised, commercially minded and capableof managing competing priorities within a fast-paced environment. A commitment to values-led leadership, team development and continuous improvement will bekey to success in the role.
Experience with in the energy efficiency, heating or insulation sectors would be advantageous, although it is not essential
