The Role

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Housing Team Leader to lead and support a front-line team delivering high-quality housing and support services to vulnerable young people. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong leadership skills and a passion for achieving positive outcomes.

The successful candidate will oversee day-to-day service delivery, ensure safeguarding and compliance standards are maintained, coach and develop staff, and work collaboratively with internal teams and external agencies to deliver person-centred support.

Key Responsibilities of a Housing Team Leader

  • Lead, supervise and motivate a team to deliver high-quality support services.
  • Manage staff performance, recruitment, training and development.
  • Oversee safeguarding, risk management and service compliance.
  • Ensure support plans are outcome-focused and regularly reviewed.
  • Build effective relationships with partner agencies and stakeholders.
  • Monitor KPIs, service performance and quality standards.
  • Manage incidents, complaints and complex cases.
  • Promote a positive, inclusive and psychologically informed working environment.

About You

Essential:

  • Experience leading teams within supported housing, homelessness, social care or youth services.
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding, housing legislation and support planning.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and make sound decisions.

Desirable:

  • Relevant management or health and social care qualification.
  • Experience working with young people with complex needs.
  • Knowledge of Psychologically Informed Environments (PIE) and trauma-informed practice.
