Electrical Technician

Position: Electrical Technician (Permanent)
Location: Welburn

My client is currently recruiting for an Electrical Technician. The role offers a 37 hr working week with overtime paid for any additional hours worked, 5 weeks holiday, life insurance and employee funded private healthcare.

The role is Monday - Thursday 8.30-16:30 and Friday 8.30-4pm.

Due to the location, a driving license and your own transport will be required.

Duties include:

* Assemble electronic/electrical subassemblies from schematic diagrams, drawings or verbal instructions and following works order instructions to ISO
9001 standards.

* Wire and solder wiring harness and cable assemblies, PC boards, SMT, transformer assemblies, control consoles, connectors, etc.

* Perform limited troubleshooting and testing of assemblies.

* Perform limited computer controlled operations.

* Ensures assembly/sub-assembly build times are met to maintain department efficiency target of 100%.

* Carry out job tasks safely using good working practices.

* Carry out all assembly work to the required department quality standards.

The ideal candidate:

* Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team

* Able to maintain a high level of organisation while working under pressure to deadlines

* Keen attention to detail and the ability to read and interpret designs and sketches

An ONC in electrical/electronic and IEEE 18th Edition accreditation will put you in a stronger position, though they aren’t essential for the role.
