Plater Fabricator

Our client, a rapidly growing engineering company based in Chesterfield, is seeking an experienced Plater Fabricator to join their dynamic team.

• Carrying out fabrication and development work on custom steel structures in a heavy engineering environment
• Interpreting and working from detailed engineering drawings and technical specifications
• Building components and assemblies to a high standard of accuracy and quality
• Performing high-quality MIG welding
• Measuring, marking out, cutting, shaping, and drilling plate and steel sections
• Operating a range of workshop tools, machinery, and fabrication equipment
• Maintaining strict adherence to all Health & Safety procedures and site policies

• Experienced and confident in plating and fabrication
• Preferably time-served or apprentice-trained with relevant qualifications
• Skilled MIG welder with a strong eye for detail
• Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings
• Hands-on experience using fabrication machinery
• Background in heavy steel or structural steel industries
• Capable of working independently from drawings and seeing a project through from start to finish

• Monday – Thursday, 06:00 – 16:30
• Overtime rate time and half
