We are currently recruiting for an Electrical Assembler to join a leading manufacturing team producing HVAC units used across the railway industry. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with electrical assembly experience who enjoy hands-on work within a structured, safety-critical manufacturing environment.

The role involves assembling, wiring, testing, and supporting the repair of HVAC units, focusing on electrical competence, fault‑finding, and hands‑on assembly of complex electro‑mechanical systems in a safety‑critical environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Assemble electrical components including wiring looms, sensors, controllers, motors, relays, and switch gear

Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical work instructions

Carry out electrical testing including continuity checks, insulation resistance testing, and basic functional testing

Assist with diagnosis and repair of electrical faults on returned or service units

Assemble and route wiring safely in line with railway and internal quality standards

Fit electrical components to mechanical assemblies, ensuring correct alignment and protection of cabling

Maintain accurate build records, test sheets, and quality documentation

Follow all safety procedures including safe isolation, lock out/tag out, and safe handling of high voltage components

What We're Looking For:

Previous experience in electrical or electro-mechanical assembly within a manufacturing environment

Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and wiring diagrams

Practical fault-finding skills and a methodical approach to problem solving

Good attention to detail and strong quality focus

Ability to work safely within a team in a safety-critical environment

This is an ongoing shop floor role offering the opportunity to work on critical railway equipment within a skilled and supportive engineering team.
