CRP Group are working with a leading automotive manufacturing company based in South Yorkshire, specialising in the design and build of high-quality electrical and diesel buses. With a strong commitment to innovation, quality, and operational excellence, we are looking to expand our Stores team with a dedicated and reliable Pick Operative.

Role Overview

As a Pick Operative within the Stores department, you will be responsible for coordinating line picks to stage allocation and ensuring materials are delivered accurately and efficiently to support production. You will play a key role in maintaining smooth Stores operations by communicating effectively with internal teams and reporting any discrepancies promptly. This role requires attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to work to quality standards in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate line picks in line with stage allocation requirements.
  • Accurately run and work from pick sheets.
  • Deliver all picked materials to the designated Work In Progress (WIP) area.
  • Report any material discrepancies or shortages to the Material Handler.
  • Maintain warehouse locations in accordance with Health & Safety standards during picking activities.
  • Support effective communication across key internal departments to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Participate in bi‑annual stock take activities.
  • Ensure all tasks are completed to the required quality standards and within expected time frames.
Skills & Experience
  • Previous experience in a warehouse, stores, or pick/pack environment (manufacturing experience desirable).
  • Ability to read and interpret pick sheets accurately.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with internal teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Understanding of Health & Safety standards within a warehouse environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
