Production Engineer
Monday - Friday

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Production Engineer to join the team at our clients busy manufacturing site in Blackburn.
Working closely with the operations team you will be responsible for optimizing production processes, improving efficiency, reducing waste, and ensuring operational excellence !
This is an exciting opportunity for a problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about continuous improvement.
The role will combine focus between supporting existing product ranges, the introduction of new products and the development of supporting systems to improve Quality, sustainability delivering savings using lean processes.
This is a Monday - Friday Days role, 37 Hours working week with a 1pm Finish on Friday.
Key Responsibilities of a Production Engineer
Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives (lean manufacturing, waste reduction, process optimisation)
Lead kaizen Projects and Site Auditing
Provide technical support to production teams and troubleshoot manufacturing issues
Execute process improvements
Defining processes and procedures
Work closely with the Lean team to develop and implement of best practices, routines and solutions to improve production rates, Quality and output
Ensure process improvements put into place are adhered to.
Work closely with Safety & Quality to ensure safe processes and reduce rejects Experience and Qualifications required for a Production Engineer
HNC/HND or Previous hands on experience in a production engineering or manufacturing engineer role
Knowledge of HSE and best practices and ISO
9001 would be an advantage
Strong problem-solving skills and a practical, hands-on approach
Understanding of Six Sigma would be beneficial
Strong communication skills
Salary and Benefits of a Production Engineer
Salary up to £50,000 DOE
Monday to Friday DAYS (1pm finish on Fridays)
34 Days Annual Leave (includes 2 week Christmas shutdown)
