TIG Welder

Overview

Our client, based in the Trafford area, are a precision engineering company who are expanding the team and appointing a TIG Welder on a permanent basis. The role pays 30k per annum, with a 4 day week (Monday to Thursday). Core duties are TIG Welding; other duties may include brazing, soldering, drilling or basic assembly when required.

• TIG welding of stainless steel and exotic metals.
• Soldering, brazing and other duties as required.
• Interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to understand specifications of components and assemblies.
• Use inspection equipment to monitor quality of components produced.
• Complete paperwork as per the company quality system.
• Ensure all products manufactured and assembled meet quality standards.
• Flexible work within other manufacturing areas to meet workload demands.

• Minimum 5 years experience working as a TIG welder.
• Time served or relevant experience in TIG welding.
• Mechanical engineering problem solving.
• Engineering units along with thread sizes, flanges, pipe fittings etc. is an advantage.
• Must be flexible to move to different areas and perform duties other than welding when needed.

Location:

Trafford, England, North West.

Hours:

37 per week; 6:00 am – 3:45 pm OR 6:30 am – 4:15 pm OR 7:00 am – 4:45 pm (4 days per week, Mon–Thu).
