WORKS FOREMAN OPPORTUNITY

An experienced Works Foreman is required with an employment history based around the manufacture of steel framed buildings.

The ideal candidate will be required to assist the Production Manager in the day to day running of our fabrication workshop taking the lead role of responsibilities during periods of annual leave etc.

• Lead responsibilities in the fabrication workshop during periods of absence, assisting the Production Manager in day-to-day operations.
• Act as a nominated keyholder and promote high quality and accurate fabrication output.
• Read computer-generated fabrication drawings, and check fabricated materials with precision prior to welding and painting.
• Maintain knowledge and understanding of health and safety, and factory operating procedures including welding and paint application.
• Collaborate with the Production Manager to ensure safe, efficient, and quality fabrication processes.

• Experience in a similar role within fabrication or welding; willingness to upskill into a supervisory role within a family business.
• Ability to read fabrication drawings and apply quality checks to materials before welding/painting.
• Knowledge of health and safety procedures and factory operating procedures relevant to welding and paint application.

A competitive hourly rate of pay is offered with the availability of overtime to the right candidate, dependent upon knowledge and experience in the structural steelwork industry.

Hours of work are 8.00am - 5.00pm Monday to Thursday and 8.00am - 4.30pm on Fridays, with overtime paid any time worked outside of these hours.
