Blackburn | Salary: £46,800 | Shift pattern:
Panama Days (2 on, 2 off, 3 on, 2 off, 2 on, 3 off).

We are looking for a confident Maintenance Engineer with a Mechanical Bias to join our clients Engineering Team at their busy manufacturing site in Blackburn.

You will need a strong understanding of Hydraulics and working with the wider engineering team you will be responsible for maintaining the machinery, supporting machine set ups and improving cycle times.

Having experience and a good understanding of plastics process, injection, blow moulding machinery and manufacturing would be advantageous, to further enhance the team at this global manufacturing site in the heart of Blackburn.

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance of machinery on site.
• Diagnose and fault-find, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic faults.
• Support machine changeovers, tool changes and continuous improvement activity.
• Work closely with production teams to minimise downtime.
• Ensure all work is carried out in line with health & safety procedures.
• Complete maintenance documentation accurately.

• Apprentice-trained or time-served Maintenance Engineer with a minimum Level 3 qualification.
• Experience working on injection and blow moulding machines would be an advantage.
• Mechanical background.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with in a manufacturing or FMCG environment.
• Proactive, flexible and a strong team player.

• Salary £46,800
• Panama Shift DAYS 2 on, 2 off, 3 on, 2 off, 2 on, 3 off.
