Salary: £13 per hour

Desirable Skills

• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Ability to work safely in a busy operational environment
• Good communication skills
• Basic computer literacy
• Previous scrap yard, recycling or site experience is preferred but not essential
• Driving licence preferred but not essential

Job Description

As a Yard Operative, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day running of our busy recycling yard, helping to ensure materials are processed efficiently while maintaining high standards of safety and housekeeping.

As Yard Operative, you would be expected to:

• Processing and sorting materials
• General manual handling duties
• Directing drivers entering and leaving the site
• Communicating site health and safety procedures and operating instructions
• Liaising with colleagues and other site personnel
• Assisting the Yard Manager with daily operational activities
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment
• Supporting the wider team to ensure smooth yard operations
