Middletown | Permanent | £15.00 per hour
Monday - Thursday: 7:30am - 4:30pm
Friday: 7:30am - 1:30pm
A local business in Middletown is seeking an experienced Fabricator / Welder to join its manufacturing team. This is a permanent position offering long‑term stability and an immediate start for the right candidate. The successful applicant will be responsible for fabricating and welding components to a high standard while working from technical drawings and maintaining quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Read and interpret technical and engineering drawings
- Fabricate and weld components to required specifications
- Carry out high‑amperage welding and metal cutting operations
- Assemble components and perform quality inspections
- Complete UKCA quality documentation accurately
- Maintain tools, equipment and a clean working environment
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to meet production deadlines
- Follow all health and safety procedures and company standards
- Proven fabrication and MIG welding experience
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards
- Previous experience within a manufacturing or production environment
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
- Good understanding of health and safety requirements
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
- Abrasive wheels certificate
- Forklift licence
- Overhead crane certification
