TIG Welder – Permanent position at a precision engineering company in Trafford, England, North West.

• Salary: £30,000 per annum (approx. £15.60 per hour PAYE)
• Working hours:
  
  4 days a week (Monday to Thursday) – 37 hours per week. Shift options: 6:00 am – 3:45 pm, 6:30 am – 4:15 pm, or 7:00 am – 4:45 pm.

• TIG welding of steel and exotic metals.
• Soldering, brazing, drilling and basic assembly duties as required.
• Interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to understand component specifications.
• Use inspection equipment to monitor and ensure quality of produced components.
• Complete paperwork in accordance with the company quality system.
• Ensure all manufactured and assembled products meet quality standards.
• Work flexibly within other manufacturing areas to meet workload demands.

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a TIG welder (time served).
• Relevant experience specifically in TIG welding.
• Mechanical engineering problem‑solving skills.
• Knowledge of engineering units, thread sizes, flanges, pipe fittings, etc. is an advantage.
• Flexibility to move between different areas and perform tasks beyond welding.
