MIG Welder​/Fabricator

Overview

Core Group is currently recruiting for an experienced Fabricator / Welder to join a busy and well‑established metal fabrication workshop based in the South West. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled individual looking to work on a variety of high‑quality bespoke metalwork and structural steel projects within a professional and supportive environment.

You will be part of a skilled fabrication team delivering precision‑built architectural and structural components used across commercial, residential, and private developments.

• Fabrication and welding of bespoke steel and architectural metalwork
• Working from detailed technical and fabrication drawings
• Producing high‑quality items to exact specifications
• Supporting the wider production team to meet project deadlines
• Ensuring all work meets required quality and safety standards
• Operating efficiently within a modern workshop environment using advanced fabrication processes

• Staircases (feature, access, and structural)
• Walkways, gantries, and platforms
• Balustrades, handrails, and balconies
• Structural steel frameworks
• Custom architectural metal features

• Minimum 3 years' experience in MIG and/or TIG welding and fabrication
• Ability to confidently read and interpret fabrication drawings
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high‑quality workmanship
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Reliable, punctual, and self‑driven
• Good organisational and time management skills
• Flexible approach with the ability to prioritise workload

Competitive pay: £15.00 – £17.00 per hour (depending on experience)

Estimated annual earning potential: £30,800 – £38,000 (including overtime)
