Based in Loughborough, our manufacturing facility handles everything in‑house — from raw material processing to welding, fabrication, painting, and full assembly of bespoke acoustic units. Sheet Metal Fabricator

Key Responsibilities
  • Metal Fabrication:
    Craft high‑quality metalwork products with thickness between 1mm to 10mm, including plenums, doors, manifolds, and others to exact specifications.
  • Welding & Assembly:
    Utilise MIG welding techniques to assemble, finish, and inspect various metal products.
  • Design Reading:
    Interpret designs, technical drawings, and specifications to ensure accuracy and precision in fabrication.
  • Quality Assurance:
    Inspect finished products for structural soundness, quality, and adherence to design requirements.
  • Equipment Maintenance:
    Regularly inspect and maintain workshop tools and machinery to ensure smooth operation and safety.
  • Problem‑Solving:
    Work collaboratively with designers, engineers, and fellow fabricators to troubleshoot design or fabrication challenges.
  • Overtime:
    Enhanced pay after 38 hours of work.
Qualifications
  • Experience:

    3+ years of experience in metal fabrication, preferably in an industrial or structural setting.
  • Skills:

    Proficient in MIG welding, metal forming, cutting, and finishing techniques.
  • Technical Knowledge:
    Strong understanding of metals, welding procedures, and fabrication tools.
  • Attention to Detail:
    Ability to produce precise, high‑quality work with minimal supervision.
  • Safety Focused:
    Comprehensive knowledge of health and safety procedures related to fabrication and workshop environments.
  • Working Hours:

    Static – Days 6am to 2pm, Afternoons 2pm to 10pm (15% shift allowance), Nights 10pm to 6am (30% shift allowance).
Preferred Qualities
  • Experience with bespoke and custom metal fabrication projects.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Positive attitude and keen interest in continuous learning and skills development.
  • Passion for traditional blacksmithing and modern fabrication techniques.
  • Keen to keep house‑keeping up to a high standard.
