About the Company

Our client is a well‑established engineering manufacturer experiencing significant growth and investment. They are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to support increasing production demands and contribute to the ongoing success of the business.

The Role
  • Set, operate and programme CNC milling, turning or multi‑axis machines
  • Interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
  • Select tooling, fixtures and materials to ensure efficient production
  • Inspect finished components using precision measuring equipment
  • Carry out programme adjustments, prove‑outs and tool offsets
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across the machining department
Requirements

Essential:

  • Recognised engineering or CNC machining qualification (NVQ Level 2/3, City & Guilds or equivalent)
  • Previous experience within a CNC machining environment
  • Knowledge of CNC controls such as Fanuc, Siemens, Heidenhain or Mazatrol
  • Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling and materials
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality

Desirable:

  • Offline programming experience (Mastercam, Fusion 360, Edgecam or similar)
  • Multi‑axis or sliding head machining experience
  • Aerospace, automotive or precision engineering background
  • Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience
